Launch of College-Based Reading Circle and Book Discussion on the 7th Anniversary of Srijonshil Gaibandha

On the occasion of the 7th founding anniversary of Srijonshil Gaibandha, the college-based reading circle and book discussion program was officially inaugurated today, Wednesday (April 22) at 1:30 PM at the field of Gaibandha Government College campus.

The event was attended by the Founder and President of Srijonshil Gaibandha Foundation, Md. Mehedi Hasan. Also present were Project Officer Athar Mihda Tuba, Accounts Assistant Ranjan Debnath, and book-loving students.

The program included discussions on the importance of reading books, the practice of knowledge, the development of creative thinking, and various ways to inspire the youth toward reading habits. Participants described books as the best companions of human life and encouraged regular reading practices.

Founder and President Md. Mehedi Hasan said, “There is no alternative to reading books in building an enlightened society. Initiatives like reading circles and book discussions will play an important role in keeping the younger generation away from drugs, frustration, and negativity.”

Project Officer Athar Mihda Tuba said, “Developing leadership qualities, analytical skills, and human values among students requires a strong reading habit. We want this initiative to spread across every educational institution.”

The speakers expressed hope that this book discussion initiative will expand on a larger scale in the future and open new horizons of knowledge practice among students in the district.

It is noteworthy that Srijonshil Gaibandha has long been working in the fields of education, health, climate, and various social development activities in Gaibandha district. As part of this ongoing effort, this new college-based program has been launched.

সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধার সপ্তম প্রতিষ্ঠাবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে গাইবান্ধা সরকারি কলেজ ক্যাম্পাস মাঠে আজ বুধবার (২২ এপ্রিল) দুপুর ১টা ৩০ মিনিটে কলেজভিত্তিক পাঠচক্র ও বই আড্ডা কার্যক্রমের শুভ উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে।

উপস্থিত ছিলেন সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও সভাপতি মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রজেক্ট অফিসার আত্হার মিহদা তুবা, হিসাব সহকারী রঞ্জন দেবনাথসহ বইপ্রেমী শিক্ষার্থীরা।

অনুষ্ঠানে বই পড়ার গুরুত্ব, জ্ঞানচর্চা, সৃজনশীল চিন্তার বিকাশ এবং তরুণ সমাজকে পাঠাভ্যাসে উদ্বুদ্ধ করার নানা বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। অংশগ্রহণকারীরা বইকে মানবজীবনের শ্রেষ্ঠ বন্ধু উল্লেখ করে নিয়মিত পাঠচর্চার আহ্বান জানান।

সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও সভাপতি মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান বলেন, “একটি আলোকিত সমাজ গঠনে বই পড়ার বিকল্প নেই। তরুণ প্রজন্মকে মাদক, হতাশা ও নেতিবাচকতা থেকে দূরে রাখতে পাঠচক্র ও বই আড্ডার মতো উদ্যোগ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে।”

প্রজেক্ট অফিসার আত্হার মিহদা তুবা বলেন, “শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে নেতৃত্বগুণ, বিশ্লেষণী ক্ষমতা ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধ তৈরিতে বই পড়ার অভ্যাস অত্যন্ত জরুরি। আমরা চাই এই কার্যক্রম প্রতিটি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে ছড়িয়ে পড়ুক।”

বক্তারা আশা প্রকাশ করেন, এই বই আড্ডা ভবিষ্যতে আরও বড় পরিসরে বিস্তার লাভ করবে এবং জেলার শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে জ্ঞানচর্চার নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করবে।

উল্লেখ্য, সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে গাইবান্ধা জেলায় শিক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্য, জলবায়ু ও বিভিন্ন সামাজিক উন্নয়নমূলক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করে আসছে। তারই ধারাবাহিকতায় কলেজভিত্তিক এই নতুন কার্যক্রম শুরু করা হয়েছে।
