National Volunteer of VSO Bangladesh Visits Gaibandha EcoCycle Project

Ms. Umme Habiba, National Volunteer of the Inclusion and Participatory Practice Department of VSO Bangladesh, conducted a field visit on 4 March 2025 (Wednesday) to the project titled “Gaibandha EcoCycle: Youth Innovation for a Flood-Resilient Green Economy.”

During the visit, she toured Goghat and Karaibari villages under Kamarjani Union of Gaibandha Sadar Upazila. She observed the compost production initiatives and vegetable gardens established by local youth groups and exchanged views with project participants and beneficiaries.

She highlighted that eco-friendly agricultural practices, the use of organic fertilizers, and youth-led innovations are playing a significant role in building a climate-resilient green economy.

The visit provided first-hand insights into the project’s progress, community engagement, and the advancement of environmentally sustainable initiatives at the grassroots level.

ভিএসও বাংলাদেশের ইনক্লুশন অ্যান্ড পার্টিসিপেটরি প্র্যাকটিস বিভাগের ন্যাশনাল ভলান্টিয়ার উম্মে হাবিবা আজ ৪ মার্চ ২০২৫ (বুধবার) “গাইবান্ধা ইকোসাইকেল: বন্যা সহনশীল সবুজ অর্থনীতির জন্য তরুণদের উদ্ভাবন” প্রকল্পের মাঠ পর্যায়ের কার্যক্রম পরিদর্শন করেন।

তিনি VSO Bangladesh-এর প্রতিনিধিত্বে গাইবান্ধা সদর উপজেলার কামারজানি ইউনিয়নের গোঘাট ও কড়ইবাড়ি গ্রাম পরিদর্শন করেন।

পরিদর্শনকালে তিনি স্থানীয় তরুণদের উদ্যোগে গড়ে ওঠা কম্পোস্ট সার উৎপাদন কার্যক্রম ও সবজি বাগান ঘুরে দেখেন এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট তরুণ সদস্য ও উপকারভোগীদের সঙ্গে মতবিনিময় করেন। পরিবেশবান্ধব কৃষি উদ্যোগ, জৈব সার ব্যবহার এবং তরুণদের উদ্ভাবনী কর্মকাণ্ড জলবায়ু সহনশীল সবুজ অর্থনীতি গড়ে তুলতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখছে বলে তিনি উল্লেখ করেন।

এই ভিজিটের মাধ্যমে প্রকল্পের অগ্রগতি, স্থানীয় জনগণের সম্পৃক্ততা এবং পরিবেশবান্ধব উদ্যোগগুলোর বাস্তব চিত্র সম্পর্কে সরাসরি ধারণা লাভ করা সম্ভব হয়েছে।
