Food and Roses Distributed Among the Helpless in Gaibandha on Pahela Falgun and Valentine’s Day

Gaibandha, 14 February 2026: On the occasion of Pahela Falgun and Valentine’s Day, Srijonshil Gaibandha Foundation distributed food and roses among helpless, homeless, and mentally challenged people in Gaibandha.

From Saturday afternoon (14 February), volunteers of the foundation visited different areas of the town, including DB Road, Gaibandha Poura Park, and Gaibandha Railway Station, where they handed over packaged meals to street dwellers and underprivileged individuals. Each recipient was also greeted with a rose to convey the warmth of spring and the spirit of love.

The organizers stated that Valentine’s Day should not be limited to personal relationships only; it is equally important to express love and compassion toward the neglected and disadvantaged members of society. Although a small gift and a single meal may not eliminate their hardships, the humane gesture can bring a sense of joy and recognition to their lives—this was the main objective of the initiative.

President Md. Mehedi Hasan said that Srijonshil Gaibandha Foundation will continue to stand beside underprivileged people through various social and humanitarian activities in the future.

Local pedestrians and residents welcomed the initiative, saying that the true meaning of love lies in sharing the joy of festivals with everyone.

গাইবান্ধা, ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬: পহেলা ফাল্গুন ও বিশ্ব ভালোবাসা দিবস উপলক্ষে গাইবান্ধায় অসহায়, ছিন্নমূল ও মানসিক ভারসাম্যহীন মানুষের মাঝে খাবার ও গোলাপ ফুল বিতরণ করেছে স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ফাউন্ডেশন।

শনিবার (১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি) বিকেল থেকে সংগঠনের স্বেচ্ছাসেবীরা শহরের ডিবি রোড, গাইবান্ধা পৌর পার্ক এবং গাইবান্ধা রেলওয়ে স্টেশন এলাকায় ঘুরে ঘুরে পথবাসী ও সুবিধাবঞ্চিত মানুষের হাতে প্যাকেটজাত খাবার তুলে দেন। পাশাপাশি প্রত্যেককে একটি করে গোলাপ ফুল দিয়ে বসন্ত ও ভালোবাসা দিবসের শুভেচ্ছা জানান তারা।

আয়োজকরা জানান, ভালোবাসা দিবস শুধু ব্যক্তিগত সম্পর্কের মধ্যেই সীমাবদ্ধ নয়; সমাজের অবহেলিত মানুষের প্রতিও ভালোবাসা ও সহমর্মিতা প্রকাশ করা জরুরি। বসন্তের এই দিনে সামান্য উপহার ও একবেলা খাবার হয়তো তাদের জীবনের কষ্ট দূর করতে পারবে না, তবে মানবিক স্পর্শ তাদের মনে আনন্দ ও স্বীকৃতির অনুভূতি জাগাবে এটাই এই আয়োজনের মূল উদ্দেশ্য।

সংগঠনের সভাপতি মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান বলেন, ভবিষ্যতেও বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও মানবিক কর্মসূচির মাধ্যমে সুবিধাবঞ্চিত মানুষের পাশে থাকার প্রত্যয় নিয়ে কাজ করে যাবে সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ফাউন্ডেশন।

এ সময় স্থানীয় পথচারী ও সাধারণ মানুষ এমন উদ্যোগকে স্বাগত জানান। তাদের মতে, উৎসবের আনন্দ সবার মাঝে ভাগ করে নেওয়ার মধ্যেই প্রকৃত ভালোবাসার সার্থকতা নিহিত।
