A Story of Inspiration: Past, Present, and Future

On April 22, 2019, in the quiet landscape of Gaibandha, a spark of light was born in the hearts of a few dream-driven youths “Srijonshil Gaibandha Foundation.” This was not merely the beginning of an organization; rather, it marked the start of a revolution in thought, a commitment to responsibility, and a first step toward a promising future.

Inspired by the “Gaibandha District Branding Book,” the foundation took shape as a seed of new dreams. The pages of the book, filled with history, heritage, resources, and possibilities, stirred a profound question in the minds of the younger generation Can we not present our land, culture, and identity more creatively on the global stage? That very question gradually transformed into a structured initiative, now known as Srijonshil Gaibandha.

At its inception, the organization’s journey was filled with challenges and limitations. Financial constraints, lack of infrastructure, and social indifference were constant barriers. Yet, the unwavering determination and passion of the youth remained its greatest strength. Starting on a small scale, the primary focus was to showcase the district’s heritage and culture through digital platforms. By utilizing social media as a tool, they brought forward the untold stories, folk traditions, local products, and lifestyles of Gaibandha. Over time, these efforts captured attention and built trust among people.

Over the past seven years, Srijonshil Gaibandha has directly and indirectly impacted the lives of more than 10,000 people through its diverse activities. Currently, the organization has around 82 active young volunteers (35 women and 47 men), and approximately 217 volunteers have been associated with the platform at different times. Additionally, five experienced advisors guide its operations. More than 200 young individuals have developed skills through training and workshops, while thousands have benefited from educational support, environmental awareness, and humanitarian initiatives. These numbers are not just statistics; behind each lies a story of transformation.

With time, the organization has expanded its activities into multiple dimensions of social development. In youth development and leadership building, it has played a significant role. Through regular training, workshops, leadership camps, debates, and seminars, young people have enhanced their skills. Many of them are now leading initiatives within their own communities, contributing to the creation of a healthy and aware society.

In the field of health and awareness, the organization’s contributions are commendable. Programs on SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), menstrual health, mental health, and nutrition have been conducted for adolescents and women. Free medical camps have also been organized to provide healthcare services to marginalized communities. These initiatives have not only raised awareness but also brought positive changes in people’s lives.

The organization’s work in women and child welfare is particularly significant. Campaigns against child marriage, awareness programs on women’s rights, and counseling services have played a vital role in promoting equality. For children, initiatives like reading circles, cultural programs, and creativity development activities have been introduced. Through educational support programs, underprivileged students have received learning materials, and efforts are ongoing to nurture a morally enlightened future generation.

Srijonshil Gaibandha has also taken a leading role in addressing environmental and climate challenges. Tree plantation drives, waste management initiatives, plastic pollution prevention, and cleanliness campaigns are helping build a greener and more sustainable environment. Notably, their eco-brick initiative has set a practical example of transforming plastic waste into reusable resources.

Through activities on anti-corruption awareness and the Right to Information (RTI), the organization has highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability among citizens. Moreover, during times of disaster such as floods or winter hardships their humanitarian support has stood as a shining example of solidarity. These efforts prove that Srijonshil Gaibandha is not just an organization; it is a responsible social force.

Over these seven years, the organization has witnessed numerous successes. Where once Gaibandha’s potential was hidden behind limitations, today it is gradually becoming visible through the innovative initiatives of youth. Many young individuals are now applying their skills to bring positive change in society. The organization has built a strong network where people from diverse backgrounds unite to work toward development.

Today, Srijonshil Gaibandha stands as a vibrant, dynamic, and creative platform. It does not merely conduct activities; it transforms mindsets, instills responsibility, and inspires the new generation to dream. Every initiative carries a powerful message—“Change is possible, if we work together.”

The vision for the future is even broader and more structured. The organization aims to establish Gaibandha as a branded district at national and international levels. Plans include leveraging modern technology, developing entrepreneurship, promoting tourism potential, and creating sustainable economic initiatives. Harnessing the innovative power of youth to build a knowledge-based, humane, and sustainable Gaibandha remains its core goal.

In conclusion, the seven-year journey of Srijonshil Gaibandha is not just a measure of time; it is a unique story of inspiration. What began as inspiration from a book has now evolved into a movement. ২২ এপ্রিল ২০১৯ গাইবান্ধার নিভৃত জনপদে, কিছু স্বপ্নবাজ তরুণের হৃদয়ে জন্ম নেয় এক আলোর শিখা “সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ফাউন্ডেশন”। এটি ছিল শুধু একটি সংগঠনের সূচনা নয়; বরং একটি চিন্তার বিপ্লব, একটি দায়বদ্ধতার প্রতিশ্রুতি এবং একটি সম্ভাবনাময় ভবিষ্যতের দিকে প্রথম পদক্ষেপ। “গাইবান্ধা জেলা ব্র্যান্ডিং বুক”-এর অনুপ্রেরণার আলোতেই জন্ম নেয় “সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা”; সেখান থেকেই রোপিত হয় এক নতুন স্বপ্নের বীজ। বইটির পাতায় উঠে আসা ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য, সম্পদ ও সম্ভাবনা নতুন প্রজন্মের মনে এক গভীর প্রশ্ন জাগিয়ে তোলে নিজেদের মাটি, সংস্কৃতি ও পরিচয়কে কি আমরা আরও সৃজনশীলভাবে বিশ্বমঞ্চে তুলে ধরতে পারি না? সেই প্রশ্নই ধীরে ধীরে রূপ নেয় এক সুসংগঠিত উদ্যোগে, যার নাম আজ সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা।

প্রতিষ্ঠালগ্নে সংগঠনটির পথ ছিল প্রতিকূলতা ও সীমাবদ্ধতায় পূর্ণ। আর্থিক সংকট, অবকাঠামোগত ঘাটতি এবং সামাজিক অনীহা সবকিছুকে পাশ কাটিয়ে একমাত্র শক্তি ছিল তরুণদের অদম্য ইচ্ছাশক্তি ও ভালোবাসা। খুব ছোট পরিসরে শুরু হওয়া কার্যক্রমগুলো মূলত ছিল জেলার ঐতিহ্য ও সংস্কৃতিকে ডিজিটাল মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরা। সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমকে হাতিয়ার হিসেবে ব্যবহার করে তারা গাইবান্ধার অজানা গল্প, লোকসংস্কৃতি, ঐতিহ্যবাহী পণ্য ও মানুষের জীবনযাপনকে সামনে আনতে থাকে। এই প্রচেষ্টা ধীরে ধীরে মানুষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করে এবং সংগঠনটির প্রতি আস্থা তৈরি হতে থাকে।

গত সাত বছরের পথচলায় সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা তার বহুমুখী কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে প্রায় ১০,০০০-এর বেশি মানুষের জীবনে সরাসরি ও পরোক্ষভাবে ইতিবাচক প্রভাব ফেলেছে। বর্তমানে সংগঠনটিতে প্রায় ৮২ জন সক্রিয় তরুণ স্বেচ্ছাসেবক নিয়মিত কাজ করছে (নারী ৩৫ জন, পুরুষ ৪৭ জন) এবং বিভিন্ন সময়ে প্রায় ২১৭ জন স্বেচ্ছাসেবক এই প্ল্যাটফর্মের সাথে যুক্ত ছিল। এছাড়াও ৫ জন অভিজ্ঞ উপদেষ্টার দিকনির্দেশনায় সংগঠনটির কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হচ্ছে। প্রশিক্ষণ ও কর্মশালার মাধ্যমে ২০০-এর বেশি তরুণ-তরুণী দক্ষতা অর্জন করেছে এবং শিক্ষা সহায়তা, পরিবেশ সচেতনতা ও মানবিক উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে হাজারো মানুষ উপকৃত হয়েছে। এই পরিসংখ্যান শুধু সংখ্যা নয়; প্রতিটি সংখ্যার পেছনে রয়েছে পরিবর্তনের একেকটি জীবন্ত গল্প।

সময়ের পরিক্রমায় গত সাত বছরে সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা তার কার্যক্রমকে বিস্তৃত করেছে বহুমাত্রিক সামাজিক উন্নয়নের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে। যুব উন্নয়ন ও নেতৃত্ব গঠনের ক্ষেত্রে সংগঠনটি বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। নিয়মিত প্রশিক্ষণ, কর্মশালা, লিডারশিপ ক্যাম্প এবং বিতর্ক ও সেমিনারের মাধ্যমে তরুণদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি করা হয়েছে। অনেক তরুণ-তরুণী এখান থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে নিজেদের কমিউনিটিতে নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছে, যা একটি সুস্থ ও সচেতন সমাজ গঠনের ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখছে।
স্বাস্থ্য ও সচেতনতা খাতেও সংগঠনটির কার্যক্রম প্রশংসনীয়। কিশোর-কিশোরী ও নারীদের জন্য SRHR (যৌন ও প্রজনন স্বাস্থ্য অধিকার), মাসিক স্বাস্থ্য, মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য এবং পুষ্টি বিষয়ে সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচি আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন সময়ে ফ্রি মেডিকেল ক্যাম্প আয়োজন করে প্রান্তিক মানুষের স্বাস্থ্যসেবা নিশ্চিত করার প্রয়াস চালানো হয়েছে। এসব কার্যক্রম শুধু সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করেনি, বরং মানুষের জীবনযাত্রায় ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনতে সহায়তা করেছে।

নারী ও শিশু কল্যাণে সংগঠনটির অবদান অত্যন্ত তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ। বাল্যবিবাহ প্রতিরোধে প্রচারণা, নারী অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠায় কাউন্সেলিং ও সচেতনতা কার্যক্রম এবং শিশুদের জন্য পাঠচক্র, সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান ও সৃজনশীলতা বিকাশের উদ্যোগ এসবই একটি মানবিক ও সমতাভিত্তিক সমাজ গঠনের পথে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ। শিক্ষা সহায়তা কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে সুবিধাবঞ্চিত শিক্ষার্থীদের শিক্ষাসামগ্রী প্রদান এবং নৈতিক শিক্ষা প্রসারের মাধ্যমে সংগঠনটি ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মকে আলোকিত করার কাজে নিয়োজিত রয়েছে।
পরিবেশ ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন মোকাবিলায় সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা একটি অগ্রগামী ভূমিকা পালন করছে। বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি, বর্জ্য ব্যবস্থাপনা, প্লাস্টিক দূষণ রোধ এবং পরিচ্ছন্নতা অভিযান এসব উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে তারা একটি সবুজ, টেকসই ও বাসযোগ্য পরিবেশ গড়ে তোলার জন্য কাজ করছে। বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য তাদের ইকো-ব্রিক কার্যক্রম, যা প্লাস্টিক বর্জ্যকে পুনর্ব্যবহারযোগ্য সম্পদে রূপান্তর করে পরিবেশ রক্ষার একটি বাস্তবসম্মত উদাহরণ সৃষ্টি করেছে।

দুর্নীতি বিরোধী সচেতনতা এবং তথ্য অধিকার (RTI) বিষয়ে কার্যক্রম পরিচালনার মাধ্যমে সংগঠনটি নাগরিকদের মধ্যে জবাবদিহিতা ও স্বচ্ছতার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেছে। পাশাপাশি দুর্যোগকালীন সহায়তা কার্যক্রম—যেমন বন্যা বা শীতকালীন সহায়তা মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়ানোর একটি উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করেছে। এসব উদ্যোগ প্রমাণ করে, সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা কেবল একটি সংগঠন নয়; এটি একটি দায়িত্বশীল সামাজিক শক্তি।

এই সাত বছরের যাত্রায় সংগঠনটি অসংখ্য সাফল্যের সাক্ষী হয়েছে। যেখানে একসময় গাইবান্ধার সম্ভাবনা সীমাবদ্ধতার আড়ালে ঢাকা ছিল, আজ তা ধীরে ধীরে দৃশ্যমান হচ্ছে তরুণদের উদ্ভাবনী উদ্যোগে। অনেক তরুণ আজ নিজেদের দক্ষতা কাজে লাগিয়ে সমাজে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনছে। সংগঠনটি একটি শক্তিশালী নেটওয়ার্ক গড়ে তুলেছে, যেখানে বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষ একত্রিত হয়ে উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে কাজ করছে।

বর্তমানে সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা একটি প্রাণবন্ত, গতিশীল ও সৃজনশীল প্ল্যাটফর্ম হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এটি শুধু কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করে না; বরং মানুষের চিন্তাধারায় পরিবর্তন আনে, দায়িত্ববোধ জাগিয়ে তোলে এবং নতুন প্রজন্মকে স্বপ্ন দেখাতে শেখায়। এখানে প্রতিটি উদ্যোগ একটি বার্তা বহন করে “পরিবর্তন সম্ভব, যদি আমরা সবাই একসাথে কাজ করি।”

সবশেষে বলা যায়, সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা সাত বছরের এই যাত্রা শুধুমাত্র সময়ের হিসাব নয়; এটি এক অনন্য প্রেরণার গল্প। একটি বইয়ের অনুপ্রেরণা থেকে শুরু হয়ে আজ এটি একটি আন্দোলনে পরিণত হয়েছে। এই পথচলা প্রমাণ করে যদি ইচ্ছাশক্তি, সৃজনশীলতা এবং মানবিকতা একসাথে কাজ করে, তবে একটি ছোট উদ্যোগও বৃহৎ পরিবর্তনের সূচনা করতে পারে।
